A condition where given objects or situations cause persistent fright.
Panic Attacks
Intense and sudden fits of fear leading to breath-shortness, numbness and sweating.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
A mental disorder that takes place after undergoing a traumatic event.
Dissociative disorders
Memory-based disruptions or physical reactions triggered by trauma. People who dissociate may feel
disconnected from themselves and the world around them.
Somatic Symptom Disorder
Involves having a significant focus on physical symptoms — such as pain or fatigue — to the point that it
causes major emotional distress and problems functioning.
Schizophrenia
Abnormality in behavior in social contexts as well as failure in identifying reality.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Is an anxiety disorder in which time people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas or sensations
(obsessions) that make them feel driven to do something repetitively (compulsions)? The repetitive
behaviors, such as hand washing, checking on things or cleaning, can significantly interfere with a person’s
daily activities and social interactions.
